Here you observe a lot of notes on the map of Addis ababa. opening each one reveals it was from users who intended to add a POI to the map. OSM should provide an easy way to atleast add a point with a name to the map with out going into the editor. Thank you.
There are now actually a whole bunch of options that people can use to do that (trying having a look down this list).
The challenge, as you’ll see if you look at Addis with the notes view on, is that many of those notes are anonymous, and many are 9 or 10 years old. 9 or 10 years ago there weren’t the same options available to edit the map from a phone, and so someone familiar with the area (perhaps you?) could perhaps go through the notes and resolve the ones that are no longer valid.
Saying “OSM should provide” is a bit misleading; “OSM” is just people like you and I - there is no magic group of people who creates the tools that you and I use.

Actually, would it be a bad idea to allow a limited set of POIs to be created on the map itself, with an approval/welcome workflow to filter out nonsense and potentially reel in contributors who see their POI appear quickly? Not a nondescript general purpose note, but the actual object?
I think such a workflow would be more rewarding than crushing piles of demanding notes.
