Not all GO stations appearing in Open Railway Map

I don’t trust myself editing railway objects. Can someone have a look at why Long Branch GO doesn’t appear in Open Railway Map in easily visible bold blue the way other GO stations do? There may be others missing I haven’t noticed yet.

Please make sure you are using openrailwaymap.app as the .org is no longer reliably updated

OpenRailwayMap shows Long Branch for me, does it show what you expect?

Yes it does appear in the .app link. The .org page does show the recently opened Confederation GO station, but not Long Branch, so I don’t think the problem is necessarily the frequency of update. There is something lacking at that point.

My understanding is that the dot org updates unreliably, so we shouldn’t conclude anything from how it shows or doesn’t show anything, but I’ve added an openrailwaymap tag to this thread to see if anyone else knows more concretely

Thanks. I believe Long Branch has the right Train Platform and Train Stopping Location features, but lacks the special GO Train Station feature type that the others seem to have.

One thing I’m noticing is that Long Branch is mapped as an area Way: ‪Long Branch‬ (‪699218609‬) | OpenStreetMap whereas most other stations are mapped as nodes. Maybe dot org doesn’t support station areas?

Per Tag:railway=station - OpenStreetMap Wiki stations as areas are okay, so possibly there’s nothing wrong with Long Branch per se. (I should note that there’s a super long thread about stations as areas here)

That would be a correct assumption, mapping station areas is a relatively new concept.
I don’t think anyone has brought it up to them yet.

Personally, I would forget that dot org exists as it’s unreliable and unmaintained (for the most part)
