Nominatim hasn’t been updated since august. What is happening to the project?

I don’t have programming skills and I can’t help on that matter, but it is very important to enter the addresses in openstreetmap and make them searchable. I have heard many people complaining tha openstreetmap “doesn’t find anything”.

As far as I know we currently use Nominatim from Mapquest because there are some issues with “our” service and missing manpower to fix this.
