Nominatim to tile server

Hi,

I got a nominatim database already set up, but I’d like to have a tile server, too. However, it’s missing planet_osm_line, planet_osm_polygon and such tables.

Can these tables be constructed from the nominatim database, or will I really have to re-import whole North America? (It took 2days with wiki and tiger 2017…)
Or can a tile server instantly use a nominatim database? Or is the procedure different and I should import into gis database, too?

The install is a fresh install to C7 according to OSM site.

Both are using the OSM data but in different database layouts (styles).

check the “style” option of osm2pgsql.

You have to create a second database.
