Nominatim install

I m follow all step on the nominatim manual, but I can’t found the file gazetteer-functions.sql , I found the file gazetteer-functions.sql.in so when I m try run gazetteer-loaddata.sql the program say NOT FOUND PLACEX how fix it??

I can’t found planet.osm.bz2 file, is possible download only an area from openstreetmap to upload it to nominatim , not download all world

You are probably best off using an existing public install (for instance http://open.mapquestapi.com/nominatim/)rather than trying to install your own version of the software unless you have very unusual requirements.
