Sorry my friend - you wont convince me that adding something to a solution makes it better security wise or operational wise. It might make it easier for the lazy developer, operationally its a desaster.
Adding complexity is always something to avoid.
In good and secure design removing stuff is the way to go.
And in this case let me point to RFC1925 - The 12 networking truths.
(12) In protocol design, perfection has been reached not when there
is nothing left to add, but when there is nothing left to take
away.
And this applies to ALL technical issues.
