newbie question to locate a road on the map based on a photo

newbie question: so I have an aerial photo of a part of central France but I don’t know the exact location.
I know it is max 10 minutes from a city.
I want to find the place on the map.
My photo shows two roads in an angle.
Is there a way I can use to locate where this is?
Some sort of low level GIS query maybe?

I have no idea about any GIS query.

If your quest has any importance I would upload the picture somewhere and ask the French Wikipedia Oracle for help. It’s amazing how some crowd intelligence can quickly locate any places. I have seen that a couple of times on the German WP equivalent.
