New wiki user: unable to contribute because sandbox has no 'edit' button when logged in

Hi, I’m a new Wiki user. I’d like to add an Automated_Edits page for myself to the wiki, but it seems like I won’t be able to do that until I have a few Edits under my belt. However, I am unable to Edit any page, even the Sandbox. That Sandbox page says I should “click edit above” but there is no edit button.

I searched several places on community.openstreetmap.org and the wiki but I can’t figure this out. Is this a bug? Thank you for your time

what is your wiki account? are you sure you are logged in?

Can you post screenshot reaching a bit higher on page, till top-right is included?

It looks like I’m logged in, which is what makes this so weird.

Hmm, can you edit own user page? Red link at top.

I figured it out - seems this was happening because I hadn’t confirmed my email address. Sandbox works now, thx
