To finish crossing the streams, I’m guessing that “the email from today” refers to tagging mailing list message [Tagging] [RFC] Feature Proposal - Add languages: tags for name rendering, and that in turn was prompted by the recent discussion in the Canadian forum Multi-language/default language naming conventions
