More ski lift data (manufacturer & bicycle tags)

Hi! I had question about adding more data to ski lifts.

More specifcally I have noticed that there is a tag for manufacture, but most ski lifts don’t have this data filled in, is it because that is not allowed or just hasn’t been done?

Secondly there is a tag bicycle and aerialway:bicycle, but my question is more relating to the second one I think. In that tag there are options for ‘yes‘, ‘no’, ‘summer’. Now some lifts you are allowed to take a bike, but only if you pay extra or other certain things like a clean bike or only a max of 2 per gondola for example. Also something that might be interesting is what way for bikes like just in a gondola, or attached on a chair or is it a pulling system? Some ski lifts now a days are even only mountainbike allowed, as in permanently converted.
Sorry if it’s a lot but just want to find what and how, and where the limits are

Thanks in advance

Well the limit is where you want to set it

But I would not put too much energy (if any) in adding a lot of details as long as there is more than enough to do with adding the basics. So as long as there are a lot of aerialways in your area still missing aerialway:bicycle at all adding this with yes/no/summer will help more than enough.

Adding more details - do as you like, but there is the risk that you get lost in adding details that in the end no app or map will show.

The only exception might be bycicle:fee=yes/no but even there it is quite likely that it will not be checked by now. But I think this is a value that might really be intersting in the future.

The manufacture tag is probably something for nerds - I do not think it is worth the work to add it - but if one wants to do so - up to them…

Tanks for the answer!

Yeah I am working on a little side project that would require some of this data potentially in the future. And I thought why add it to a private database if I can just add it directly in to open street map. Thanks for the information, will see what and when I add stuff

For manufacture idk, there are these website like skiinfo.nl or something that have like info on the lifts like date of build and so on, wonder where they get their data then.
