Missing Visual Representation for Node (life_ring)

I’ve never seen that before.
Can you show, link or at least quote the relevant rule?

Well if we don’t have a rule (written or unwritten) why do we delete spam then?

I read that not as a “promotion” but as an idea of what was technically possible.

You’re exaggerating a little.

@SomeoneElse has already formulated it correctly. It was just a hint as to what might be possible.
There wasn’t even a link.

And spam that we delete usually has nothing to do with OSM. After all, MappyCZ makes significant use of OSM data.

Spams are irrelevant to a topic, and OSM. How does mentioning an OSM product once in reply to someone in a post violate rules?
In About the Tagging help & support category , I only see Etiquette/Etiquette Guidelines - OpenStreetMap Wiki
According to Category:Proprietary software licenses - OpenStreetMap Wiki , is mentioning the following a act of promotion? Ignoring (paid) games.

  • Cycle.travel
  • CycleStreets
  • Gaia GPS
  • Guru Maps
  • Komoot
  • Magic Earth
  • Mapbox anything
  • Maperitive

Mappy CZ gets promoted a lot in OSM spaces, but it only uses OSM outside of CZ (and doesn’t display specific attribution for those areas that use OSM BTW).

That is perfectly legal (~attribution), but can mislead. I would note that I didn’t report the posting, just felt that it needs pointing out.

Ok, fair enough. But there should be clearer rules about that before anyone invokes this risk.
For interest: Recently, I have to mention the Esri product for merging divided roads from OSM, and spatiotemporal join for OHM. It’s unavoidable, not directly available in QGIS. Fortunately I found MobilityDB, that seems to offer the latter in PostGIS.

Well the ring moves when it is used, but the housing where it is stored, and we would map are static.
