Missing city / village names in Nepal

Namaste dear Friends!
I found in this area http://www.openstreetmap.org/#map=13/26.7760/86.1038
a lot of villages, probably also small cities, without name.

Could you try to add some of this?

Thank you in advance!

Good know but the i also donot know the name of the village and cities.

Thank you

Namaste everybody,
I guess there is no another way, than asking locals

Best regards,

I think this will help a little.

Useful resources with vector data, published by Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs on public domain licence:

these villagaes are on google maps https://www.google.com/maps/place/26%C2%B046’33.6%22N+86%C2%B006’13.7%22E/@26.7763061,86.0837297,14.5z/data=!4m5!3m4!1s0x0:0x0!8m2!3d26.776!4d86.1038
just double check what’s there and what’s not

al3c: we cannot use information from Google Maps on OSM, to do so would contravene both Googles’s Terms of Service and OSM’s Contributor Terms.

Normally data sourced from Google will be redacted.

To be honest, I couldn’t find the names for that area, I think it’s better to find some help at such platforms as Reddit or Quora. Also, would be great to find printed maps for that area or ask locals.

Thx for post

Do anybody know the name of this city? If yes, please add it. Thanks in advance!

You forgot to add coordinates :grinning:

You can use google and other copyright protected data to decide not to map an object, if strong inconsistency with usable source.

Chature Bajar

No, it is Jorpokhari Bazzar

Thought to better to zip it, Jor Pokhari or Jorpokhari I found incl a travel brochure. The name also seems to represent an area that cross-borders into Bengal
