If you try to download a map from garmin.openstreetmap.nl, this service is not really reliable. Please use another service from https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/OSM_Map_On_Garmin/Download . I am a happy user of https://download.bbbike.org/osm/ .

I don’t see any button on http://garmin.openstreetmap.nl/ to generate a request for maps to download. I have my selections as follows:

Choose your map type:
Generic Routable (new style)

Choose a predefined country:

British Columbia

Choose a predefined country:
(left as default)

Request your map or download it directly:
(map shows the pre-defined selection for British Coumbia)

There is NO button to request the map download to be generated.

Today http://garmin.openstreetmap.nl/ has a message saying “Sorry, this service is currently not available due to server problems. Please come back later…”

Would be nice if there was some communication on this issue from those in charge of that service.

Lambertus is the one in charge, and he used to post here in the forums, but doesn’t anymore. He’s become very hard to reach. I’m surprised that he even added that message to the site, because he hasn’t in the past when it’s had issues.

With this site’s frequent issues, I’d recommend becoming acquainted with the other providers of OSM-based Garmin maps.

If this is about downloading Garmin maps, maybe it is better to ask in Garmin maps.
