Microsoft / Open Maps

"Hi xxx,

My name is Oisin, Im the Project manager for the Open maps team at Microsoft (https://github.com/Microsoft/Open-Maps). I wanted to introduce myself and our team to see if you had any concerns, tips, or local advice before we did any editing on PNG roads and the attributes we can confirm from street level imagery from Mapillary and OSC. We’re a small enough team, currently 34, based out of Seattle USA, and Serbia. We have been mapping in Australia the past 2 years using only open data, aerial imagery, streetlevel imagery, and chatting back and forth with the local mappers. I didnt find a slack channel, or a talklist to post to yet for the PNG openstreetmap community. Are you aware of any channels I could reach out to? As a relative power mapper yourself there I wanted to reach out directly. Fuller description of of our previous work, and an idea of the type of work we will be doing in PNG, can be seen in the ticket we posted for similar work we are doing in New Zealand https://github.com/microsoft/Open-Maps/issues/45. Please feel free to reach out with any questions, tips, or concerns

Thanks, Oisin"

https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Organised_Editing/Activities
