I’ve been using Organic Maps ever since I discovered OSM and it’s been great. however, recently I moved to an area that’s got a metro line which runs close to where I live but it’s all fucked up on Organic Maps. the line that’s displayed on Organic Maps doesn’t take into account some stations that exist on the same line, which made me think there was no station that’s next to me. but there is and Organic Maps doesn’t follow the metro lines that exist on OSM. I checked with CoMaps which’s got the same problem. is this an Organic Maps + forks issue or smth to do w OSM data? when I go to edit the metro lines it states that some stations are in conflict w the route.
It is hard to day without knowing affected location.
These apps simplify route between stations but you seem to complain about something else.
Does the Maps.me/Organic Maps/CoMaps Metro Map generation actually use OpenStreetMap data? I was under the impression that it was using GTFS data to build its Metro Maps and that’s why it’s so patchy.
Last time I checked GTFS was on TODO list, was using OSM data and that was reason for patchy coverage missing critical part like timetables.
hence my question. w OSM data I can fix any errors but no clue what GTFS is. I just edit from time to time and mostly use Organic.

In OSM, in Relation: Dhaka Metro Rail Line 6 (15060935) | OpenStreetMap, Shahbagh is listed under Members as “inactive stop”
Same in opposite direction Relation: Dhaka Metro Rail Line 6 (15060936) | OpenStreetMap
If it is active now (and the other stops listed as inactive) the relations might need updating
well on the operator’s site (btw shitty no cert. gov website) and Wikipedia both mention Shahbagh and other stations as active but personally I’ve never used the metro so idk.
then, before we know whether metro is in fact messed up, it is necessary to check this
I’ve just read a few of the sources on Wikipedia and yes the stations are active and have been for 2 yrs. dk how this hadn’t been fixed yet.
If you are in the area it would be far better for you to confirm in person (do a “ground survey”) rather than depending on Wikipedia or other sources
I’ve already made the edit but do plan on travelling via the Shahbagh station in the next few days and will revert if it’s wrong.
sadly, OSM has less mappers than it would be ideal :(
many areas have no mappers or just one or two
if you would be able to check and verify it - that would be brilliant! And will fix your map.
