Fast.
Best Practices for Documenting Non-Mechanical Edits
Did you manually review each individual change using additional sources beyond OpenStreetMap data? Please keep in mind that this information is not visible to those involved in quality control. Therefore, we kindly ask you to document your process in a few sentences to help prevent frustration on all sides.
Best practices include:
- Writing a brief description in your OpenStreetMap blog post, or
- Opening a thread in the community forum, or
- ???
Please link to this blog post or thread in all of your changesets that follow this procedure. Remember, the larger your changeset (in terms of the number of changed elements or the size of the bounding box), the more people will be notified of the change. Providing a concise description for those people demonstrates good etiquette and consideration for the community.
