Maritime Borders between El Salvador, Nicaragua and Honduras

The International Court of Justice in 1992 ruled on the border dispute between El Salvador and Honduras concerning the Gulf giving Honduras the legal rights up to the bay closing line. El Salvador claimed the maritime space was a condominium of the three countries. See Land, Island and Maritime Frontier Dispute (El Salvador/Honduras: Nicaragua intervening) and honduras | OpenStreetMap for an OSM map of the space.

I’m seeking help to decide what this means for the maritime border between El Salvador and Honduras.

I attempted to reach out to OpenSeaMap folks but they don’t seem to be too active. Nor was a post on the Central America Telegraph channel.

As a side note, does anyone know if the Gulf has a name?

Edited to fix link to the Gulf

From your description, it sounds like you’re referring to the Gulf of Fonseca (Golfo de Fonseca):

has El Salvador followed the ruling or have they continued to claim the same?

has El Salvador/Honduras enforced they claim?

I haven’t seen any data to suggest El Salvador has or has not followed the ruling.
