Hello! I’m quite new to mapping and live in Lincolnshire and noticed that the Lincolnshire Emergency routes that were put in after major flooding in 2013 aren’t yet mapped on OSM. These are marked with red rectangular ER OUT signage that lead away from the costal flood risk zones.
Looking at the documentation this should be mapped using the tag:route=evacuation guidance.
Proposed tagging
| type | route | ||
|---|---|---|---|
| route | evacuation | ||
| evacuation_route | flood | ||
| ref | Route 1 - 13 | ||
| name | ER OUT | ||
| osmc:symbol | :white_frame:red::ER out:white | ||
| symbol | White ER out in a red box and white outline. | ||
| colour | Red |
I have found 2 sources of maps online that published are: Modern Gov PDF plans; The Lincolnshire Resilience Forum. But from what I can find these use Ordinance Survey Data therefore cannot be used for mapping on OSM.
These Lincolnshire resilience forum has written descriptions of the ER routes so could these be used instead of using map data?
If not, Is there anyone that’s local that could map them with a survey or add the data to kartaview/mapillary for others to map. Given time I could eventually map a number of these as I sometimes drive past / through these.
Would this be a sizeable enough to create a local project?
