Is there a way to map a rescue ladder?
I think, this is best described with the image attached. I already mapped the Emergency Life Ring (Node: 12715082491 | OpenStreetMap). But I am not sure on how to tag the ladder. This is not a Rescue Ladder? My understanding of this device is that it is intended to be helpful when trying to save people from a frozen lake.
How about:
emergency=rescue_ladder
ladder:type=ice_rescue
?

could be misleading, as the examples I see typically refer to fire rescue.
But you are probably right. Together with ladder type it probably makes sense.
Would you create a separate node or combine it with the emergency life ring?
And even if it were a fire ladder, it would make no difference to its use. In fact, both would be equally suitable. If the fire brigade were called out on a rescue mission, they would not have a second rescue ladder with them for ice rescue, but would use their normal fire ladder.
The life_ring with line also appears to be for ice rescue. And what about the pick off pole?
How about a more generic one:
emergency=ice_rescue_equipment
or:
emergency=rescue_equipment
rescue=ice_rescue
equipment=ladder;life_ring;rope;pickoff_pole

Only disadvantage of this approach:
The life_ring does not show up as dedicated icon anymore. Which makes me wonder, whether I should separate it again.
adding some more complexity: It seems that ladder and pickoff_pole are removed in spring. So, these would only be focused on ice_rescue, but only available in winter.
In a first step, I decided to separate the ring:

be clear enough in this context?
