Mapping Mathare North, Nairobi, Kenya

Hi everybody,

we are holding a workshop together with the Humanitarian OpenStreetMap Team for mapping with drones, satellite imagery and on-site data capture in the context of the ISPRS-ISDE conference at the main KCA university campus in Nairobi. On 4 December at 2pm we will introduce KCA students on how to use the HOT and OSM tools for mapping buildings. On 5 December at 10am we will go together to Mathare North Area 4 and collect more data about the buildings and other POIs.

If you are interested, please come along. There is no registration fee for the workshop and we welcome anybody who wants to learn or contribute. The goal is to map a small part of Mathare North Area 4 because it is totally underrepresented in OSM.

Also, should you not be able to come but you have suggestions, please let us know here.
