Do we have any way of seeing how many mappers there are per country?

OSMstats - Statistics of the free wiki world map shows (I think?) how many changes there were made per country (but without a legend for the colours?), but if you select “contributors per area”, basically there are only people mapping in Europe?

Latest OpenStreetMap Edits per Tile shows edit per tile, but it disappears beyond Zoom 13.

Overview of OpenStreetMap Contributors @ ResultMaps.neis-one.org shows mappers in an area, but again, disappears as you go out.

Do we have way of seeing how many people are based in, &/or have mapped in, “this” country?

Just select “contributors” on OSMstats and look at the table below. The “contributors per area” should probably read “contributors per land area” as I believe it takes the number of contributors in a country and divided it by the land area (km²) of that country.

Mapping in that country, or “from” that country?

I have to guess, but I would say “users mapping in this country”, because how should the tool know where I live or where I was born?

Otherwise you would have to make the user location a mandatory field in the profile, right?
