Mapbox updated some of his imagery with fresh Vantor (Maxar Intelligence) images

I came across this good news thanks to the Korean telegram (thanks @KennyDap !)

On January 7, Mapbox updated their satellite imagery. This is currently the most up-to-date satellite imagery for some area in world.

However, there is one drawback. Their grid is significantly offset of other satellites. So, be careful with this.

Korea? Definitely not universally true.

Sorry, it’s fixed.

Doesn’t seem to be rolled out in Poland, - in Gdynia I see aerial imagery from 2021 or older.

Nothing in my area either, imagery still from September 2023 (and it bothers me to no end)

Can anyone confirm that images are updated only for zoom levels 13 to 15? That’s what i can see in my area, at least.
At first i thought it had something to do with how OSM editors parsed Mapbox data, but then i stumbled across this mapbox link (that apparently let’s you subimt feedback on tiles’ quality; don’t know if it’s active tho), and it replicates the same behaviour as in JOSM, ecc.

Yes.
15 new, 16 old: https://www.openstreetmap.org/?mlat=49.409588&mlon=8.662789#map=16/49.409588/8.662789

Yep. Downtown Edmonton 16+ is from summer 2022, 15-13 is summer 2025. It varies across the city though: for other areas 15-13 show spring 2025 because things are getting green but there is still a fair bit of ice on the river. At 12 the whole city, or at least very large parts of it, becomes late spring 2020.
