Hello, OSM community of Norway!

Our team has been mapping missing roads since May, as described here: Mapbox Organized Editing, Missing Roads

This project has been a success, and we are preparing to expand the effort to European countries, including Norway. We’re sharing notice here to ensure that OSM community of Norway has adequate notice, consistent with the Organised Editing Guidelines.

Make sure you use the official map authority orthophotos, and check things against the national road database and sometimes the zoning plans (all available as imagery layers in Norway)

I see you’ve already received some comments on editing in norway in this older issue on your github.

I’d just like to reiterate that @NKA has made import files for missing roads here. He has made a script that checks the national road database (NVDB) and compares it to OSM, and creates files with roads that are missing for each municipality. A great resource!
