Map in French

Hi,

I’m adding names in french (you know, tag “name:fr” in josm) on a map mainly in arabic (Khartoum actually, where I live ; arabic is not so easy to read for foreigners)
But how to ask afterward for the map in french ? Only the tags ‘‘name:’’ show up on openstreetmap.org…

There is an OSM map with French names here: http://toolserver.org/~osm/locale/fr.html

Or you can render a map yourself, showing the French names. How to do this will depend on what operating system you are using, ad how large a map you want etc. Some details here: http://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Rendering
