Mailing list mode - maximum of 150 daily emails

I have mailing list mode turned on. At the bottom of a recent email I see this message:

Heads up: We send a maximum of 150 daily emails. Check the site to see the ones that might be held back. PS thanks for being popular!

  • Who is “we” here? Is it a hard limitation of the Discourse software, or a configurable parameter, or something else?

  • How do I “Check the site to see the ones that might be held back”?

  • Can I turn off things like “PS thanks for being popular!” which add no value? Maybe a language setting (perhaps English vs American)?

The max daily emails is a site global configurable parameter. It can be set to unlimited if desired. I recently increased it from 100 → 150.

Happy for people to advise what it should be.

Unless there some other reason not to. if people are using Discourse in mailing list mode I’d expect it’d need to be more than whatever the total number of posts per day is?

I have now set the max daily emails to unlimited.
