Looking for a category to mark up Charity Clothes Banks

Within many supermarkets and shop car parks are ‘Charity Clothes Banks’, managed by many charities.
I would appreciate direction on how I/we mark up these locations.
Thanks

See amenity=give_box:

a small facility where people drop off and pick up various types of (none food) items such as clothes, small appliances, dishes, toys, books, CDs in the sense of free sharing and reuse.

Either that, or perhaps amenity=recycling + recycling:clothes=yes?

This might be a better fit if OP is talking about locations where clothes can be dropped off but not picked up. E.g. charity “bins” where the clothes are periodically taken to a central location and sorted/cleaned before being distributed.

Unfortunately, I’m not sure that quite fits. At least not without some fairly substantial changes to the wiki.

people drop off and pick up various types of (none food) items

Charity clothes banks are explicitly not for pick up (except by the charity itself).

in the sense of free sharing and reuse

I suppose in the long run, yes. But the primary purpose is for charity donation.

they all have the same principles, a space of free sharing, reuse, solidarity, and they are organized by the community

Again, charity donation is not for sharing and are organised by charities (non-profits) rather than the community.

I did find the undocumented and not particularly well used amenity=donation_box but this appears to be used for monetary donations.

Maybe Tag:shop=charity - OpenStreetMap Wiki ?

Recycling is different from reuse, and I think is a bad choice to mix recycling and donations, but the wiki says it clearly, so…

Also, the OP does not explain if they want to map the place where people goes to donate clothes, or the place where people in need of those clothes can go to get them.
The second case according to the wiki should be tagged with amenity=social_facility + social_facility=clothing_bank.

No, because shop=charity is, by wiki definition, a shop operated by a charity, for the purposes of fundraising

Thank you all for taking the time to assist.

However, in practice, most of the clothing donated into the bins is recycled, not reused
