I have the privilege of editing my own post, so can copy/paste source:

The discourse links parser has problems with links to commons, eg File:Overgrown track - geograph.org.uk - 3375307.jpg - Wikimedia Commons is not the same as https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Overgrown_track_-geograph.org.uk-_3375307.jpg …

In preview, the first links renders fine as of now. Looking forward to seeing the post.
