Letter template to ask for permission

I have found a possible datasource for OSM, and I want to contact the company that owns the data and ask for permission to use it and derive free data in OSM. There is any template for this or do you have any ideas on how to present OSM to a company in this case?

I know there are some people who have published draft letters, but I’m unable to find them currently. The talk on the Potential datasources page does list a Swiss example though.
