I need some help tagging turn lanes in some Portland roads.
Here’s an example of a confusing scenario. Lane config:
left marked | implicit straight/right
Do I mark the implicit straight/right as none? That doesn’t feel right as then lane displays e.g. in routing apps wouldn’t pick up on the implicit straight/right lane.
I’m talking about northbound traffic. The left lane is implicitly left only, and the right turn lane is implicitly straight/right only.
Common sense leads me to think I should use a value of “left|straight;right”. But the wiki suggests “none|none” because there are no physical markings.
There is a marked arrow on the left turn lane, isn’t there?
In that case, you should tag turn:lanes:forward=left| or left|none. I personally prefer the former, but it is already tagged correctly, so no need to change it.
