Landuse using QGIS

Hi,

I’m using QGIS to segment area’s of natural=bare_rock on Raasay. Even though there is quite some manual work involved, it could still be seen as automated mapping, so I thought it might be a good idea to open a topic here.

I used the Geo-Sam plugin first, but today I used the Map Segmenter plugin which gave better results.

Is this an acceptable way of adding data to OSM? I could not find much information about using these plugins to edit OSM.
Any advice is welcome!

Which imagery are you using in QGIS? As long as it’s imagery which is licensed for contributing to OSM then I don’t see a problem with this approach.

You’ll just need to make sure your imported objects aren’t making a mess by overlapping other objects.
