Lacking proper attribution - help from OSM czech community

Hello,

I am writing in the general help and feed because editing the Wiki Page Table comes with a certain barrier

see also: Lacking proper attribution wiki page - help with a review welcomed

topic:

I have discovered that the railway company České dráhy uses the OSM basemap on the onboard information screens without showing the proper attribution.

I want to follow the recommendation found on the wiki page sending them a friendly reminder to update their display to align with the requirements of using OSM data. For that I am asking the czech community for assistance of finding the right department and setting up a friendly email.

The image is showing the screen on a ČD comfortjet rolling stock currently running services to Austria and Germany. You can’t find any attribution where it would be expected when inspecting the screen for an extended moment therefore the guidelines are not being followed.

I would be happy for some help from the czech community for this issue

Greetings, Leon

https://www.cd.cz/ has Kontakty | České dráhy, a.s. - I would start from info@cd.cz

BTW, I am not sure whether my emails to PKP Intercity were related at all, but it seems that more train in Poland, especially newer ones, started to mention source on maps

added entry on Wiki, see Lacking proper attribution: Difference between revisions - OpenStreetMap Wiki

Hi, there is an active thread on the Czech mailing list: [Talk-cz] Atribuce u ČD | OSM CZ

We’ve got a response from the ČD:

Dobrý den vážený cestující,

děkujeme Vám za upozornění na chybějící uvedení zdroje.
Tento nedostatek jsme plošně a dle možností napravili přidáním citace, případně odstraněním zobrazování map, na všech aktivních vozech.

Hezký den,

translated to English:

Dear passenger,

Thank you for pointing out the missing source reference.
We have corrected this deficiency across the board and, where possible, by adding citations
or removing map displays on all active vehicles.

Have a nice day,

This is only the ČD. Other agencies like PKP or ZSSK may still be affected.
