Kyrillic characters on GPSmap 60CSx?

Is it possible to display russian names correctly on a GPSmap 60CSx?

The downladmaps from gpsmapsearch.com/osm/mp/ show correct characters in MApsource once you set the language to Kyrillic, but once transferred to the device, it only shows accented Latin characters. Is there any reversible way to change that?

60CSx does not support cyrillics natively, you should get a modified firmware that supports it.
Or use transliterated maps.

Thanks for the quick answer. That’s what I in fact expected. As I don’t want to loose the Latin special characters (and I don’t want to change the firmware each time I fly in and out Russia), I think I have to go for the transliterated maps.
