JOSM Filters For river shorelines

Just starting to get an understanding of the power of JOSM. Can I ask for help with JOSM in this forum?

How can I go about making a filter for a river’s shoreline?
I’ve tried
water AND river but that just provided the river’s centre line
then I tried the key approach
"type" = "multipolygon" AND "water" = "river" AND "name" = "Grand River" which provided nothing

Any suggestions?

Filer should be:
natural=water AND water=river
This also finds/filters relations with these tags.
