Can JOSM deal with geojson files/format? Do I need a plugin for this?

I know I can convert to another format first and then load in JOSM but that is not what I am looking for.

My bad. The file I downloaded was a geojson file (according to information from site) but the extension was just .json. That did not work but when I changed extension to .geojson I can drag and drop in JOSM. Thanks for the answers.

Yes it can load GeoJSON.
