Hello everyone, so i just now recorded some footage for panoramax, and since I wanted to publish it with the osm instance, I went in to login with my osm account, but when I tried to, this appeared
How did to got this message ?
From which app/web site ?
I used the panoramax android app
Silly question - did you try it more than once?
Iâve seen that (once only) when trying to authenticate to OSM with JOSM. It worked when I retried.
Multiple times, over the span of 2 days before making this post
It looks like Google doesnât consider your in-app browser secure. Is your Android System WebView up to date? What is your default browser?
I suppose the obvious question is how do you authenticate your OSM account? Do you use google?
Google doesnât allow using a webview for OAuth2 authentication and previous workarounds stopped working a while back. It still can be done by using a regular browser window but that will run in to googles Android app requirement that if you provide an in app way to sign up to an account you are (legally and practically) required to provide account deletion too.
See Login screen for OAuth 2 authorization shows "sign up" tab that triggers googles android policy violation bot ¡ Issue #5118 ¡ openstreetmap/openstreetmap-website ¡ GitHub and Having trouble with Sign in with Google on the OSM login page ¡ Issue #3127 ¡ MarcusWolschon/osmeditor4android ¡ GitHub
Its up to date, and Firefox is my default browser
This may- or may not be related, but I use the Baba app to upload photo sequences from Android to Panoramax, and it now fails silently just after choosing the photos. Itâs been like that for a couple of days. So something may be âupâ somewhere.
Did it fix itself in the meantime? If not, In Babaâs settings / ? / Application log there should be clues about error. You can report the problem at Work items ¡ Alexis Lecanu / Baba ¡ GitLab then.
Also, both @DominikNew and @spiregrain (and others having a problem) - do you use Google to login to OSM, or some other method?
Itâs still not working for me, but I think the app hasnât had an update since I posted above. I reported the issue on GitLab and itâs now marked as âclosedâ, so I assume itâll be addressed in the next version whenever it appears.
it isnt working for me still, and im using google to login
