The map is updated from the OSM data.

If you know Hebrew, there are several YouTube video tutorials on how to update the map. See the thread at http://forum.openstreetmap.org/viewtopic.php?id=52733

There are also English guidelines at the OSM Israel Wiki page at http://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/WikiProject_Israel#Main_conventions
