I’d like to make a feature request for https://www.openstreetmap.org - bringing in dark mode. This the good place to do it?
No, the correct place would be the github issue tracker but it’s already been suggested multiple times.

As a workaround, there are browser plugins that can give you darkmode for OSM. Dark Reader, for example.

I don’t use dark mode much, but this extension must be very clever, because it’s also able to change the osm carto map style into a dark mode (see screenshot).
Adding “proper” dark mode support to openstreetmap-website wouldn’t do this, meaning the main page would still be quiet bright.
