Is there anything wrong with shop=power_tools?

I spotted shop=power_tools which is in relatively wide use, seems to make sense but is not included in for example iD presets.

I am considering making PR to add it - would it be bad idea for some reason?

I am asking as it was suggested to me to ask on forum before making a PR to tagging presets.

See Tag:shop=power_tools - OpenStreetMap Wiki

Label in id presets would be probably “Shop selling power tools” or “Power tools shop”.

I am also proposing to add it to Template:Map Features:shop - OpenStreetMap Wiki

Not disagreeing, but would have thought that it would have already been covered by either =hardware Tag:shop=hardware - OpenStreetMap Wiki or =doityourself Tag:shop=doityourself - OpenStreetMap Wiki ?

There are some shops dedicated to just power tools in AU, so if anything it’s just adding more detail.

Can’t see any issue with adding it as a preset, it’s pretty clear what it’s for and as long as it’s getting decent usage, can’t see why not.

shop=hardware seems to be about let’s say, nonanimated devices? So rather nails and screws and hammers?
And yes, this kind of shops seems going extinct, at least in my area

While shop=doityourself seems to be more of supermakety: you can get there power tools and nails and planks and lightbulbs and paint and tiles and bathtubs and plant pots and soil and mirrors and not entirely dead plants.

Not arguing with either of those comments! :grinning:

But the big “power tool” shops that I know of, also sell hand tools, ladders, safety gear & similar associated tool stuff.
