Is there a tag to define the regular and continual presence of wildfowl/birds?

Hi,

I recently noticed that someone had added ducks=yes to a pond near me. This seemed to be way too ephemeral (as I mentioned in the changeset comments) and so it proved a few days later when I passed by the pond and there were no ducks.

However, I have been wondering if there could be a case for something similar to indicate a continued or seasonal presence of wildfowl and/or birdlife. For example a schema to add to existing duck ponds, nature reserves, or wetland centres.

N.B. The only wiki entries that I could find for specific animals (dog, horse) are concerned with access permissions.

Any thoughts?

There is the key wildlife with few usecases, mainly wildlife=birds (10 uses as per taginfo). This could be added to locations to indicate if certain kind of wildlife may be expected there, probably in combination with seasonal=*.

I think that that is mostly a joke by one mapper? In the case of ducks it’s unlikely to conflict with an access tag (unless there’s a duck equivalent of “freemen of the city of London can herd sheep across London bridge”?)

(I’ll stop with the jokes now, sorry I just couldn’t help myself)
