Is there a service that lets you search for places that will be open at an arbitrary date and time?

I could use OsmAnd or CoMaps to look for restaurants that are showing as currently open if I want to eat as soon as possible. But what could I use if I were looking for places that are open for lunch tomorrow?

Can you explain how you filter restaurants so that only the ones open right now appear on the map?

  1. Use the search function (magnifying glass)
  2. Type your search (e.g. restaurant)
  3. choose the search category from the list (restaurant)
  4. Below the search bar is a text: โ€œshow restaurants on mapโ€
  5. Next to it, there is a filter symbol, click it
  6. choose โ€œopen nowโ€
  7. done

My interface is not in english, so the wording might be a bit different.

OSM-Open will let you do this.

Directions from the OSM Wiki:

  1. Zoom to the area you want to search in.
  2. Select a point in time for which the opening hours should be checked.
  3. Select a tag filter (either from the selection menu or manually type in an Overpass-like-expression)
  4. Click on โ€œLoad dataโ€ to load all elements with opening hours.
  5. Click on a point to get further information.

By clicking on a point, you see a link to the OSM-object, additional details and all tags of this object.

The question is asking to specify any date and time, not just right now

That was the original question, but the most recent question by a different poster was indeed about finding places open โ€œright nowโ€.
