There was an abandoned proposal for marked_trail almost 20 years ago. It has about 5k uses, as opposed to 110k uses of trailblazed=* which was approved in 2021 and covers the same thing. There is no documentation to marked_trail, almost all mentions findable on the internet come from 20 years ago.
Can it be concluded it is defacto deprecated? Would that be ok when I mark it as such in the wiki and propose changed to validators to mark it as such?
It seems to be in current use in Norway at least. The examples I looked at were added in the last 2 years, tagged as marked_trail=T_beacon, trailblazed=yes, but I didn’t check systematically if they all follow this pattern. So there might be at least one community that seems the tag as useful.
Hm, then maybe Norwegian community could document it. No idea how to contact them. It is totally unclear to me what it is supposed to map.
