Ireland - Inconsistent Layer Tagging on Highways & Spiky Land Use

Dia dhuit OSM Éire - Hello OSM Ireland,

Long time no talk or speak, I hope everyone is doing well. I am today announcing two new MapRoulette challenges for the community:

  • Ireland - Inconsistent Layer Tagging on Highways
This challenge focuses on updating layer tags for highway features such as bridges and tunnels. By correcting missing or mislabeled layer tags, we improve OSM data accuracy and support safer, more reliable routing for everyone.

  • Ireland - Spiky Land Use
This challenge helps refine land use features with unusual shapes in OSM, improving map clarity and avoiding potential routing or visualization issues.

These updates will make navigation more accurate and ensure the map truly represents the real world—for the benefit of both local users and global applications.
If a task is already resolved, please mark it as “Already Fixed.” For issues that do not require changes, mark them as “Not an Issue.”

Thank you. We look forward to hearing your thoughts and Input in any,

Salim Baidoun, TomTom

Hi, I’m seeing a high count of invalid issues. Could I suggest that if the feature type is either grass/meadow, bog/wetland sand/beach or another natural type of feature, then the task gets deleted?

Examples are as follows:

interesting finding @EM_OSM : allow me some time to look at the remaining of the tasks and tweak where necessary
