Hello,

From what I understand mapping solutions such as Google Maps and Bing Maps do not allow software companies to use their products to be sold to US Sanctioned countries such as Iran. Is that the case for OpenStreetMaps?

OpenStreetMap is not based in the US, so is not subject to US export regulations.

Though there are companies who are based in the US who use OpenStreetMap data (eg Cloudmade, Mapquest, Bing), and they may be affected.
