Inquiry Regarding Rooftop Geometry Data for Urban-Scale PV Assessment

I hope this message finds you well.

I am currently conducting research on urban-scale photovoltaic (PV) deployment scenarios in Ireland and require detailed rooftop geometry information to support this work. Specifically, I am interested in datasets that provide building roof attributes such as surface area, perimeter, roof type, slope, or other geometric descriptors that could facilitate PV suitability analysis.

I would greatly appreciate it if you could advise whether OpenStreetMap provides such data directly, or whether there are recommended derivative datasets, tools, or workflows that extract and classify rooftop geometries for solar potential assessment. Additionally, if there are studies or examples where rooftops have been categorized based on geometric characteristics for PV implementation, I would be very interested in reviewing them.

There are certain tags describing roofs for the purpose of 3D-rendering, see

Anyhow these give just some basic information and you also have to consider that only a minority of all buildings is mapped with such details so I have no idea if that may be helpful in your reserach.
