The wiki specifies that for coral reef we should use natural=reef + reef=coral, but the main usage found in taginfo is reef=coral_reef
What is being used by data consulers ? Should we make a mass edit to rm the reef=coral_reef and put reef=coral instead ?

Taginfo also shows that all instances of reef=coral_reef were added in a single swath in January 2024 in Red Sea, presumably by an import.

undocumented one at that from what I see
for now I asked at Changeset: 146533486 | OpenStreetMap - likely it should be reverted altogether rather than retagged
and area data was apparently imported as disconnected points…
Thanks, and when you look at the location of the POI, even if’s supposed to be the point supporting an area, it’s poorly mapping the aerial imagery, I guess a revert + 0 day ban is needed.
Well … all his changeset have to be reverted I guess.
I’ve cleaned the 4 other remaining reef=coral_reef: Changeset: 186096565 | OpenStreetMap
