Thanks for the confirmation. By the way, l’m not too sure whether it’s the precise spot l’ve marked or not, but it’s over there anyways.
Things that are uploaded to the OSM database are not necessarily instantly updated on apps that use OSM data. Those apps usually update their maps on a weekly or monthly basis, that sort of frequency.
When adding an object or note to the map, it can be useful to check the various layers of photos that are available, both overhead and at street level. If you are mapping a shop on a street, while you might not find the shop, you might be able to find what is near the shop, e.g. a conspicuous building, car parking, a paved forecourt instead of a garden, etc.
Always zoom in as much as is reasonable. Some people add notes when they are zoomed-out and they end up putting the note in the wrong place.
When you aren’t sure where something is, you can add a note instead of mapping the object. However, it will only show as a note and only if people have notes turned on.
Alternatively, map the object and you can add a comment to it along the lines of the following:
note=Check location. On this block, but I’m not sure which building.
OR
fixme=Location very approximate.
