I think GLL/Better shouldn't be operator:type=private, what should it be?

Hi all,

Greenwich Leisure Limited, who trade as Better, operate a lot of leisure centures in the UK. They are a not-for-profit company, and they describe themselves as "a charitable social enterprise and registered society under the Co-operative & Community Benefit & Societies Act 2014 "

However, the name suggestion index has them listed as a private operator, see here. To me this seems completely wrong, as unlike say, David Lloyd, all (as far as I know) of their centres are funded by public money, usually out of the local district council’s budget, as part of a contract.
While “government” is obviously wrong, I wasn’t sure if “public” would be right either. What do you think?

I’m happy to make a GitHub issue myself, I just wanted to check what it needs to be changed to

GLL is a worker co-operative. Based on the wiki page, I think the correct tag should be operator:type=cooperative.

I’ve submitted a PR to NSI to fix this.

Crikey, beat me to making a PR, thank you! I’ll see if I can start fixing centres near me to have the correct operator type

if bad tagging was NSI induced it may be worth fixing it with a mass replacement

Hi, sorry, for some reason the forum didn’t email about this message.
I think automated edit sounds like a good idea, given that any NSI mistagging would have very specific tags and should be easy to find and correct.
However, I might need some support doing any automated edit as I’m still new to OSM
