I have no answer for that. The people used to walk from the villages to the mines. There were sleeping rooms for those who stayed the week at the mine and got only home at the weekend. Later there were residential areas like this one in Maybach.
I would argue that water=reservoir strongly implies clear water. For mine tailings specifically, there is man_made=tailings_pond, while natural=water+water=wastewater may be used for other types of wastewater.
But it is usually groundwater that accumulates in the (former) coal mines and is pumped out so that they are not flooded. I mentioned that it’s no acid water - and it’s usually no wastewater too. Not many types of other (former) mines here, some limestone mines.
Never heard of that and never seen it. But it should be more appropriate for those “Absinkweiher” than natural=water.
also i asked because someone labled part of a tailings pond as a military thing
witch is very wrong.
old open pit that has ph 4.3 water and half full of tailings with a dead lake atached to it that was a tailings pond when the mine was running
these acid water lakes should be marked as such… reason is if u are fighting forest fire and u use that water u ruin ur pumps will eat them out do damage to water bomber tanks as it eats them out and u are dumping toxic waste on a fire
