This post just to let you know the availability of a dedicated page for hydropower on OSM wiki, both in French and English:

This is a summary of achieved work since 4 or 5 years about water management and man made hydrology, including water=* refinement and many collective work.
I guess there are still mistakes, bugs… which will be progressively improved thanks to your helpful feedbacks
