How to update www.openstreetmap.org's knowledge of wiki pages?

I’m using the key name:en-boont. I created a documentation page for the key, and, though I don’t think it’s relevant here, a data item. iD now links the key name to the doc page. I would also like www.openstreetmap.org to link to the doc page, e.g. from here.

Per this topic, for www.openstreetmap.org to link to the doc page, a script must be run and the output reviewed by an expert and committed. Is this done regularly these days? If so, how often? If one must request that it be done, how does one? Does this post suffice? If so, pretty please?

Thanks!

in rerun script/misc/update-wiki-pages by matkoniecz · Pull Request #3294 · openstreetmap/openstreetmap-website · GitHub I took (and kept updating) my notes how to run it

last time I did in 2025 so maybe it is up to date

I have the script running, so I should be able to submit a PR.

PR: Run script/misc/update-wiki-pages by dschweisguth · Pull Request #7085 · openstreetmap/openstreetmap-website · GitHub

For the record, wiki page data was last updated four months ago, so it doesn’t seem to be updated regularly. A silver lining is that many, many individual wiki page data updates are now needed, so doing an update is definitely worth the time it takes.

I wasn’t able to run tests on the updated wiki data. If someone else is able to move the PR along I’d appreciate it.

The PR has been merged and is expected to be deployed in a few days. Thanks all.
